Biography of Catherine Cutcher

Cat Cutcher was born and raised in Central Ohio.  She went to her first protest in Washington, DC in 1991 during the Gulf War.  Since then, she has been attending and documenting peace and human rights rallies for fifteen years.   She attended both the 1992 March for Choice and the 2004 March for Women’s Lives. 
A scholar-activist, Cat studied Anthropology and Sociology at Kalamazoo College from 1992-1996, where she was active with the Women’s Equity Coalition, the Women’s Resource Center, the Vegetarian Co-op, and the Non-Violent Student Organization. 

She has studied and traveled in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, Swaziland, Italy, England, the Bahamas, and Canada.  She has also served as an Americorps volunteer in Philadelphia, PA and Athens, OH.  Since 1997, she has studied International and African Studies, Cultural Studies, Women’s Studies, Education, Swahili and Arabic at Ohio University.  She is currently teaching at Ohio University while working on a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies in Education.  Cat is also a board member of the Appalachian Peace and Justice Network and the Buckeye Forest Council.  She lives on an organic farm with her partner and raises vegetables, fruits, and animals.

Biography for Roger Hill

Roger Hill graduated from Ohio University in the fall of 2005 with a Bachelor of Specialized Studies degree in Film, Sociology and African American Studies.  During his years as a student Hill directed his first feature length Documentary; Witness a Peace Movement: “a Documentary from the Streets of the U.S. Anti-War Movement.”  Hill also directed and co-directed several short documentaries on issues such as: Homophobia and the ballot box in Ohio, Police violence during protests surrounding the 2003 Free Trade of the Americas ministerial in Miami Florida, The historic March for Women’s Lives in Washington D.C., the fight for awareness of the fraudulent election results in Ohio in the fall of 2004, and many other issue oriented activist films.

Watch Roger's Political Rant

Hill’s work has been seen on Free Speech TV, the Athens International Film Festival, the Take Back Democracy Film Festival, the Minneapolis International Film Festival, and on Public Access Television.  Roger has traveled the country showing his work in Coffee Shops, Micro Cinemas, Living Rooms, Universities, Music Festivals, Class Rooms, Anarchist’ Collectives and even on the Street.  He has been profiled by Docs in Progress , Ohio University’s Perspectives Magazine and the Athens Insider. Hill has shown his work and lead workshops at the Fifth National Grassroots Organizing Conference in Iraq, the North American Anarchist Conference, and the National Conference on Organized Resistance

Upon graduation Roger moved to San Francisco to launch Mental-Rev Productions.  Roger is currently involved in the many tasks of establishing Mental-Rev, promoting Witness a Peace Movement, editing upcoming Documentaries, brain storming future projects, and working with others in the production of edgy documentary that delivers poignant social commentary in a visceral yet engaging manner.
